- Device Information: Device type, operating system version
- Usage Data: App features used, interaction patterns
- HealthKit Data: Health and fitness data synced from Apple Health (with your permission)
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and improve our app features
- Generate personalized AI-powered workout and meal plans
- Calculate health metrics (BMI, TDEE, etc.)
- Track your progress and provide analytics
- Enable community features and leaderboards (with your consent)
- Send you notifications and reminders (with your permission)
- Process in-app purchases through Apple
Data Storage
Local Storage
Most of your personal health data is stored locally on your device using:
- iOS UserDefaults (for personal tracking data)
- HealthKit (for health and fitness data)
This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to share it through community features.
Cloud Storage
We use Firebase for limited cloud storage:
- Anonymous Authentication: Firebase creates an anonymous user ID
- Community Data Only: Only your username and leaderboard scores are stored in the cloud
- No Personal Health Data: Your weight, food logs, and other health data are NOT stored on our servers
AI Features and Data Processing
When you use our AI-powered features (Workout Planner, Meal Planner, AI Coach):
- Your health data is sent to Anthropic (Claude AI) to generate personalized recommendations
- Data includes: weight history, height, age, food logs, exercise logs, habits, goals, TDEE, and SweatPoints
- Anthropic processes this data according to their privacy policy
- You must consent to this data sharing before using AI features
- AI features are optional; you can use the app without them
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Apple HealthKit: To sync health and fitness data (requires your permission)
- Firebase (Google): For community features and analytics
- Anthropic (Claude AI): For AI-powered meal planning and workout suggestions
- Apple In-App Purchases: For subscription management
Data Sharing
We do NOT sell your personal information. We only share data:
- With your explicit consent (e.g., leaderboard participation)
- With AI service providers to deliver requested features
